Concerts

Chopin Salon is a place maintained in the atmosphere of interwar Warsaw, where from 21 June 2013 chamber concerts take place every day. The creation of the Salon is a fulfillment of many years of dreams of the Warsaw Music Quarter, around the Frederic Chopin University, the Chopin Museum and many places that have long been inscribed in the Warsaw musical landscape. We dreamed about it for years, and intensively since 2006, when the American pianist Pamela Howland visited our city. In her 4-day stay in Warsaw she hed no luck in finding a place where Chopin music would be played. We were so embarrassed by that fact that we made every effort to put the piano in the salon in 2009.

In the reception lounge of a tenement house from 1910 at Smolna 14 street we present works of Frederic Chopin in interpretations of outstanding, mainly young pianists. Chopin Salon on Trip Advisor – the largest reference portal in the world – occupies a leading place.

We perform every evening: on weekdays, weekends and holidays. Every evening a different pianist performs, and each concert is different. Sometimes the piano is accompanied by a violin, cello or singing, and Chopin’s compositions are completed by the works of other great composers. At the beginning of each month, we publish an artistic calendar for a current month.

Before the concert, enjoy a glass of wine and a sweet surprise after the concert. Larger groups are asked to contact us in advance in order to organize a private concert.
